Maison Anthony Marmin · Manifesto

Arabian perfumery composed with French elegance

We believe we have been created as peoples from different tribes and nationalities, that we may know one another.
We believe perfume is one of the most beautiful ways to do exactly that.

Perfume is more than a scent. It is a memory keeper, a silent greeting, a bridge between homes, languages and generations.
At Maison Anthony Marmin, fragrance is a way to share joy, harmony and authenticity with the world.

Born from French roots, Arabian perfumery and Somali heritage, the maison lives today in Dubai. Our place is exactly where these worlds meet: Arabian perfumery composed with French elegance. Real materials, real stories, real emotion.

This Manifesto sets out what guides us, what we choose, and what we refuse.

Fragrance as a way of knowing one another

We believe perfume can say “welcome” before any word is spoken.
We believe it can carry a memory long after someone has left the room.

From the majlis in Dubai to a Parisian street, from Somali culture to Indian traditions, scent has always been a language of hospitality. Our work is to translate these traditions into perfumes that feel both timeless and alive today.

We do not chase perfume as a status symbol.
We seek perfume as a meeting place, between cultures, between eras, between the intimate self and the outside world.

Our idea of perfumery

At Maison Anthony Marmin, Arabian perfumery composed with French elegance means:

  • Respect for Arabian perfumery codes: oud, sandalwood, musk, amber, ambergris, incense and layering rituals.

  • The discipline and artistry of French perfumery: structure, balance, contrast and evolution on skin.

  • An artisanal approach: small batches, patience and time.

We believe in working slowly. Oils are allowed to rest, macerations to mature, ideas to breathe. Not every formula is meant to see the light; many remain in notebooks. The ones that reach a bottle have passed through time, doubt and countless trials on skin.

We believe natural perfumes are alive.
They change with time, with the weather, with the skin, with the person.
We do not try to erase this movement; we compose with it.

The materials we choose

Our perfumes are composed from a palette where origin and character matter.

Oud from different regions, sandalwood, botanical amber built from resins and spices, rare florals, musk and ambergris where used, frankincense from distinct lands, natural extractions and carefully chosen supporting notes: every material is selected for its true character, not just its name.

We choose our materials for their truth on the skin and their role in the architecture of the perfume. A beautiful ingredient is not enough; it must serve a purpose within the whole.

Our work is rooted in natural materials: woods, resins, musks, florals and spices that carry history, place and texture. Each one is chosen for what it brings to the story on the skin: depth, light, contrast, or silence.

The goal is always the same: to let the perfume feel alive, nuanced and anchored in reality.

Our idea of luxury

We do not see luxury as noise, logos or distance.
For us, luxury is first of all integrity.

  • Giving priority to real materials and craftsmanship rather than surface effects.

  • Choosing depth over loudness.

  • Creating perfumes that feel refined and intimate on the skin, not aggressive in the air.

True luxury is also the courage to say no:

  • Saying no to shortcuts that would weaken the character of a perfume.

  • Saying no to chasing every trend at the expense of identity.

  • Saying no to keeping a creation alive when its key materials can no longer be sourced in the quality it deserves.

When that moment comes, we prefer to discontinue a perfume rather than change it into something it was never meant to be.
A discontinued creation, for us, is a chapter that closed with respect, not a story rewritten for convenience.

What we refuse

There are choices we simply do not wish to be part of:

  • Perfumes designed only to be loud for a moment and then vanish.

  • Promising one thing in words and offering something else in the bottle.

  • Turning truly precious materials into empty buzzwords, instead of honoring their real value and origin.

  • Treating clients as targets instead of guests.

We believe in storytelling, but the story must grow from what is truly in the bottle.
We will not claim an ingredient that is absent from the formula, nor invent sourcing tales purely for effect. Imagination belongs first in the perfume itself, not in false promises around it.

Our communication may not be perfect, but it will be sincere.
When something important changes, a formula, a bottle, a price; we aim to explain why with clarity, rather than hiding behind vague phrases.

Keeping perfumery close to everyday life

We do not believe perfume should live only behind glass or only for grand occasions.

We believe it should beautify the everyday as much as the extraordinary: before prayer, before work, before sleep, before seeing someone you love.

This is why our collections range from Elixirs and attars to Extraits de Parfum and incense. Different forms, different intensities, one philosophy.

We would rather see our perfumes worn, shared and remembered than simply displayed. A bottle that becomes part of someone’s ritual matters more to us than a bottle that lives only as an ornament.

A promise to our community

Maison Anthony Marmin exists thanks to the people who wear our creations, speak about them and share them with others. You are not a market segment to us; you are the living continuation of each perfume’s story.

We believe a maison can grow and still remain human-sized.
We believe we can stay faithful to Arabian perfumery and French elegance while exploring new paths.
We believe it is possible to refine our work without losing our honesty.

Our promise is simple:

  • To remain faithful to our roots in Arabian perfumery and French perfumery craft.

  • To honor the materials we use, the cultures they come from, and the people who work with them.

  • To grow slowly, consciously, and with respect for those who trust us enough to wear our creations on their skin.

If these words resonate with you, then you are already part of the Maison Anthony Marmin story.
